Physical activity in any form is a great way to keep children physically healthy as well as improving their mental wellbeing.
Research shows that doing exercise influences the release and uptake of feel-good chemicals called endorphins in the brain. Even a short burst of 10 minutes physical activities positively increases mental alertness, energy and mood.
CBSE and Fit India Mission have collaborated to provide live sessions by experts covering a range of topics for holistic well-being of school going children, which will include simple actionable tips around Basic Exercises, Nutrition, Yoga & Meditation, boosting immunity etc These sessions will be LIVE on youtube daily at 9.30 AM starting from 15th April 2020, for a period of one month at following link

As addressed by the Hon'ble Prime Minister to the Nation on 3rd April 2020, students, teachers, other staff of the school and their family members may light a candle, diya or torch of their mobile for 9 minutes at 9 PM on 5 th April, 2020 Sunday at their HOUSES to realise the power of light and to highlight the objective for which the whole nation is fighting together. Please note that no one should assemble in colonies or road or anywhere outside their houses.
Important precautionary measures
to reduce the risk of Coronavirus infection.
(Please do not panic instead, practice good personal hygiene and follow the simple mentioned precautions to Stay Protected and Stay Safe)
Wash hands with soap and water frequently.
When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with handkerchief, tissue or elbow.
Avoid close contact with anyone with cold, cough or flue like symptoms.
Wash hands after coughing and sneezing.
Wash your hands before and after caring for sick person.
Wash your hands before cooking, after cooking and before eating food.
Wash your hands after using toilet.
Avoid travel if you are suffering from fever and cough.
Share your travel history with your health worker (ASHA/ANIM).
If you have cough, fever or difficulty in breathing contact a doctor immediately.
